Ashon International DMCC (the “Company”) is a young and ambitious commodities trading company, operating in many countries. In the vibrant cross-jurisdictional environment, successful business development is not possible without compliance with the laws and regulations, applicable in relevant countries. Thus, the Company strives to create a robust Compliance framework to protect itself and its counterparts from related risks. For this purpose, the Compliance team at Ashon International DMCC is developing its Compliance strategy to set strong methodological base, implement adequate controls, develop its areas of growth and properly support the Company’s business activities.
Strategy
Our compliance strategy is aimed at creating a sustainable value culture at the Company – a culture in which reliability, honesty, credibility, and integrity are the cornerstones of the actions. For our team compliance is more than just following the laws and regulations: compliance is mindset. This includes the Company’s firm commitment that the Company stands for fair and transparent business.
Development
We have a wide network of existing clients as well as prospects in developing markets. In addition, Ashon has secured long-term contracts for the supply of products with a number of upstream majors, ensuring reliable, stable and quality flow of products into our customer base.
On a regular basis, we master our internal policies and procedures, training programs, promote the deeper integration of compliance into our business processes, and expand our targeted communications.
Key pillars
Responsibility for content in the indicated areas lies within the Compliance function and other competent functions and segments. The Compliance team also provides support and advice and ensures timely reporting of any relevant breaches and issues to the Top Management.

Methodology development
creating and keeping a set of documents – policies and procedures – up-to-date to reflect all applicable requirements, roles and responsibilities, tasks, controls, escalation path and governance framework.
Automated and manual controls
automated and manual compliance controls are introduced at various stages of business activity to ensure ongoing risk assessment and mitigation.
Top Management reporting
accurate and timely reporting of detected breaches and issues, as well as changes to the Company’s compliance risk exposure.
Compliance testing and audits
internal and external checks may be arranged to assure quality level of compliance controls.
Staff awareness
regular training, notifications on applicable laws and regulations are provided to staff to keep everyone updated.
Compliance hotline
any concerns or breaches may be escalated in due course to Compliance team for further investigation and remediation.
